This last April, we traveled to Washington D.C. with the National Cannabis Industry Association to lobby!
The cannabis industry is denied standard banking rights that other state licensed businesses have access to and many folks within the industry even lose their personal banking due to their connection to the cannabis industry. This in turn makes the cannabis industry a cash-only, perfectly legal, state licensed business. This is not only a public safety issue, but also an unnecessary business hassle. We lobbied our story, explaining to law makers and staff that it is unjust and unfair to deny us typical banking rights.
It was amazing to come together from all parts of the United States with other people within the industry all working towards the same cause.
In Prineville, we've helped set up the annual 4th of July carnival in the park. We are also proud members of the Chamber of Commerce and have sponsored various other community events.
In Madras, we helped the local community last winter by collecting non-perishable food items for those in need. We also stay closely connected with our local Warm Springs tribe, most recently helping to support votes for tribal adoptions.
At the state level, we are actively involved with both the local and state politics, ensuring that both our patients and our customers rights are being protected and their voices heard.
We are also proud sponsors of the 2016 Airshow of the Cascades! August 26th, 27th, and 28th.
